Montuk 12 Pcs Natural Teak Wood Cooking Utensils Set for Kitchen, Spoon Set.

Solid Natural Teak

Carved from solid natural teak — a dense hardwood with a naturally high oil content, which is why it resists moisture, resists warping and does not hold onto food odours the way softer woods do.

• Naturally water resistant — teak’s own oils repel moisture
• Gentle on cookware — will not scratch non-stick, ceramic or enamel surfaces
• Heat resistant — will not melt or leach at cooking temperatures
• Plastic free and non-toxic — no plastics, no synthetic coatings

Each piece is cut from natural timber, so grain and colour vary slightly from item to item. That variation is the wood, not a fault.

Treated well, good wood outlasts everything else in the kitchen:

• Hand wash only in warm water with mild dish soap.
• Never put it in the dishwasher — heat and prolonged water will crack and warp the timber.
• Do not soak or leave it sitting in water.
• Dry immediately with a towel, then let it air dry fully before storing.
• Oil regularly — rub in food-grade mineral oil every few weeks, or whenever the wood looks dry or pale.
• Do not microwave and keep it away from direct heat sources.
• Sand out rough patches with fine sandpaper if the grain lifts, then re-oil.

Wood that is dried promptly and oiled occasionally will last for years. Wood left wet will not.
